The Auditor General's Report showed that Northern Ontario hospitals are now paying more for temporary staff, and fewer doctors. Northerners are also paying more to access services as the Northern Ontario Health Travel grant has not increased since 2007. These issues could be fixed by paying staff an adequate wage and increasing the travel grant. (See news release below.)
